CORONAVIRUS UPDATE - 12 March 2020

**PLEASE DO NOT ATTEND THE SURGERY IF YOU HAVE TRAVELLED TO ANY RISK AREAS RECENTLY OR HAVE A COUGH OR FEVER**

**PLEASE NOTE: The emergency clinic at 11 AM has now been suspended for the time being. Also the online booking system has now been suspended. If you wish to make an appointment please telephone the surgery**

We would like to remind all our patients that Antibiotics are not effective for viral illnesses or will not prevent viruses developing.

We are continuing to follow the advice provide by Health Protection Scotland regarding the latest developments with Coronavirus.

We offer a new Patient Access Service which allows patients to book appointments online and order repeat prescriptions.  To Register to use the system, please collect your unique Pin Number and Information Leaflet at reception.  More information is available at Online Services tab below.

Community Midwives

Your antenatal appointments with the midwives will be at Milngavie Clinic, North West Campbell Avenue.

A midwife will visit you and your baby at home after delivery.

Community Nurses

The District Nurses are based at Milngavie clinic and can be contacted on: 

Mon – Fri (8.30am – 4.00pm) 0141 232 4813 
Weekends 0141 578 2181
 The district nurses care for housebound patients and visit them at home. Their service includes wound management, palliative care (care of the dying), bladder and bowel management. They are also involved with health promotion and with patients who have had surgery. They are involved with patients who have disabilities or have suffered accidents or illness. They can also take blood samples.

Attached Staff

The Physiotherapists are based at Milngavie Clinic on 0141 232 4816. Monday to Friday between 9.00am and 12.00 noon.

This is a ‘Direct Access’ service. You do not have to see your doctor first.  Please collect a form from reception or download here for completion and return to Milngavie Clinic.  You do have the option, if it is more convenient, to select another Physiotherapy Service in the area.  The Physiotherapists will be touch with you following receipt of your form. 


Chiropodists (Podiatrists) Based at Milngavie clinic, this is also a ‘Direct Access’ service. Please telephone 0141 636 8421 between 9.00am and 5.00pm if you would like an appointment. You do not need to be referred.
